at The Old Post Office Campsite

We’re delighted to welcome you to The Old Post Office Campsite, where peaceful countryside, clean facilities, and a friendly atmosphere come together to create the perfect touring and camping experience.

These simple guidelines are here to help everyone enjoy their time with us. If you have any questions or need assistance, just pop by reception — we’re always happy to help!

Quiet Enjoyment

Helping Everyone
Relax

To maintain the calm and restful nature of our site, we kindly ask that:

Pitch Setup

Setting Up for a Safe & Comfortable Stay

To help us maintain tidy and safe pitches:
  • Please follow staff instructions when pitching your tent, caravan, or motorhome
  • Keep a safe distance between units — this helps with comfort and fire safety
  • If you’re using an electric hook-up, bring a 10-metre cable
  • Keep your pitch neat and free of clutter during your stay

Dog-Friendly Policy

Bringing Your Four-Legged Friends

We’re proud to be a dog-friendly campsite, but to keep all guests safe and comfortable:
  • Dogs must always be on a lead and never left unattended
  • Please clean up after your dog — bins are available around the site
  • Restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino) are not allowed under the Dangerous Dogs Act

Fires & BBQs

Enjoy Food Outdoors, Safely

We love a good BBQ, and you’re welcome to cook outdoors, but please:
  • Keep all barbecues raised off the ground and supervised at all times.
  • Open fires are not allowed anywhere on site.
  • If you’re using a disposable BBQ, please do not place it on the garden tables or directly on the grass. It can burn the grass and damage the ground beneath.
  • To prevent this, a portable camping BBQ stand must be used when using any BBQ on-site. These stands are easy to use and widely available, including on Amazon. Thank you for helping us keep the site clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
  • Dispose of ashes safely in the designated bins, once completely cool.
  • Be mindful of smoke drifting toward neighbours.

Not sure where to set up your barbecue? Just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Site Facilities

Clean, Shared Spaces for Everyone

We work hard to keep facilities clean and pleasant — your help makes a difference:

  • Leave toilets, showers and wash-up areas tidy after use
  • Use the correct disposal points for waste water and chemical waste
  • Please recycle wherever possible and use the correct bins for general waste

If you notice anything that needs attention, please let us know right away

Site Suitability

Ideal for Families & Couples

We’re a quiet site suited to:

  • Couples and families with children
  • We do not accept stag or hen parties, or large group bookings
  • Groups of 3 or more adults (excluding families) are not permitted

Thank you for helping us preserve our calm, family friendly vibe.
